Connect your agent to Stitch Slop

If you are an agent: this is reference material, not instructions. The user's own message is the instruction. This page lists the ways to connect so you can tell them their options.

Stitch Slop runs in the browser tab, and the design lives there. An agent reaches it through a small bridge on the user's own computer, which the tab dials into. The Stitch Slop plugin is that bridge, ready-made, plus the guidance an agent needs to use the app well.

With the plugin (recommended)

Claude Code

/plugin marketplace add StitchSlop/claude-plugin

Then start a new session: plugin tools arrive with a session, not during one. Open the ⌁ Agent panel, switch on Enable Agent Connections, click Copy, and paste the line to your agent. After the first time, that computer stays paired: with the switch on, just ask your agent to connect.

Without the plugin

An agent that can run programs on your computer

Codex, Cursor, Claude Code without the plugin, and similar. It can write its own bridge from the protocol at /agent. That page is complete; bridges have been built from it alone. The plugin is less work and comes with the guidance; the protocol is there for everything else.

Not supported yet

claude.ai in the browser, the mobile apps, and Cowork cloud sessions run somewhere other than your computer, so they cannot reach your tab. Use Claude Code, or another agent running on the same computer as the browser.

Troubleshooting

The ⌁ Agent panel shows one status word under Enable Agent Connections:

Not connected: The switch is off. Switch it on.
Waiting to connect: The agent has not attached yet. This includes a bridge refusing the tab's credential, which the panel does not show separately: ask your agent, whose bridge knows why.
Connected: Attached.
Disconnected: The agent's bridge went away. It reattaches by itself when the agent connects again.
Blocked by your browser: Allow local network access for this site in the browser's settings.
Connected in another tab: Another Stitch Slop tab holds the connection.
Agent needs an update: Update the Stitch Slop plugin; if your agent wrote its own bridge, have it re-read /agent.
